Please bear in mind that each basket is individually hand-woven and may vary slightly from the one displayed. We used both Bukedo and Raffia to weave this basket. In Uganda, banana leaf stalks are known as bukedo. The raffia derived from palm palms is another example of a sustainable, abundant resource.
